Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation and Controls Engineer to support our corporate goals. This role will focus on developing and implementing OT network infrastructure strategies, automation and controls strategies, and serving as a corporate SME. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to site A&C engineers and ensure alignment across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Function as a corporate SME supporting individual site automation and controls engineers.
  • Develop Operational Technology architecture strategy and implement strategy across the Marzetti Manufacturing network.
  • Develop A&C's strategies and standards to support current and future capital projects.
  • Represent the engineering and manufacturing network as a liaison with the Marzetti IT team.
  • Drive digital transformation projects, including automated OEE measurement, MES standards, and MES implementation.
  • Manage contractors and vendors to ensure flawless execution and vertical startup on all assigned projects.
Requirements
  • Action-oriented individual with a result-driven mindset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in A&C's area.
  • Skilled in Rockwell PLC platform programming, Operation Technology architecture, MES systems, data historians, and system integration.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and team development skills.
  • BA/BS degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions

The employee will work in an office and manufacturing environment where they will be regularly required to speak, read, hear, sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend while moving about the facility. The employee will be occasionally exposed to fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, and risk of electrical shock.
