Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Mid Michigan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and provide high-quality patient care.
  • Clinical Support: Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and perform various administrative tasks.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Compliance and Quality: Maintain accurate records, adhere to regulatory requirements, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire. Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, or equivalent) required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Windows.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires occasional lifting, standing, and walking. The ability to wear personal protective equipment and follow infection control protocols is essential.
