Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Review Board (MRB) Engineer to join our team at Gables Search Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and disposing of non-conforming materials for gas turbine engines, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of gas turbine design, materials science, and quality assurance processes. They will be able to work closely with the Design Authority, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure that non-conforming parts are appropriately segregated and managed in compliance with regulatory standards.

The MRB Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing technical specifications, fit, form, function, safety, and regulatory compliance of non-conforming materials
  • Conducting assessments related to engineering principles such as tolerance stacks, GD&T interpretation, interchangeability, and repair requirements
  • Mentoring and training less experienced engineers
  • Participating in quality control processes, including Corrective Action Boards (CAB), and contributing to quality improvement initiatives

The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials science, quality assurance, and engineering principles. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
