POSITION SUMMARY:

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities associated with the origination of residential mortgage loans, including the generation of self-sourced referrals through diverse networking avenues.

This position is accountable for achieving the standards, objectives, and goals established by management regarding loan origination and the cross-selling of the bank's products and services.

The individual will oversee the mortgage loan process from application through to closing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven expertise in residential conventional and government mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing protocols.
  • Experience in mortgage sales is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • NMLS registration is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and nurture referral relationships with realtors, builders, and other professionals for 1st and 2nd mortgage loans.
  • Engage in industry associations and networking groups, as well as participate in Republic Bank-sponsored events to promote mortgage lending services.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, clients, and referral partners in the bank's CRM software.
  • Conduct client interviews to gather pertinent information regarding their financial situations and objectives.
  • Provide guidance to clients on current and future financial needs to help them achieve their goals.
  • Educate clients on the home buying process, financing options, and effective mortgage management.
  • Assist clients throughout the loan process from application to closing.
  • Stay informed about available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting standards, ensuring timely collection of necessary documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain clear communication with applicants and internal support staff.
  • Manage a pipeline of originated loans through to closing.
  • Implement effective marketing strategies to meet or exceed mortgage production targets.
  • Participate in all required mortgage lender meetings and training sessions.
  • Understand the credit culture of Republic Bank to present suitable credits for approval.
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements relevant to the role and assist in the implementation of new regulations as necessary.
  • Exemplify and promote behaviors that align with the Bank's values and corporate culture, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel between Republic Bank facilities is necessary.
