Job Title:

Environmental Engineer - Project Technical Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Engineer to lead our project teams in delivering high-quality technical solutions to our clients. As a Project Technical Leader, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision and accuracy of all work products, mentoring and developing technical project staff, and collaborating with clients and government officials to clarify technical questions and provide updates to project management as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multi-discipline projects to create water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, remediation sites, solid waste facilities, etc.
  • Drive the project's technical vision and ensure that all work products meet client project requirements.
  • Mentor and develop technical project staff, including reviewing draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and government officials to clarify technical questions and provide updates to project management as necessary.
  • Perform site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications.
  • Update design requirements as necessary.
  • Perform water quality analyses and modeling.
  • Contribute to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.
  • Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Review draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local, and federal regulations and best practices.
  • Meet with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs.
  • Attend conferences, symposia, etc., to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license.
  • 10 years of related experience.
