Event Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The Special Events Utility Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of general cleaners to ensure event preparedness and customer satisfaction. This role focuses on managing operational efficiency, staff productivity, and adherence to performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, schedule, and supervise the team to meet event cleaning and setup requirements.
- Ensure proper staffing and resource allocation based on event needs.
- Oversee inventory management of supplies, equipment, and PPE.
- Conduct safety inspections and enforce safe work practices.
- Audit staff work to ensure compliance with quality standards and address performance issues.
- Develop relationships with clients and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication.
- Collaborate with management on service improvement initiatives and staff development.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership in event operations or maintenance.
- Ability to oversee with a customer-first approach.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices.
Experience: 1 year
Certifications: A valid driver's license
Safety Knowledge and Responsibilities:
Possess expertise in the safe operation and use of tools, equipment, materials, and chemicals. Ensure compliance with safety standards by conducting routine safety walks and inspections, monitoring the use of power equipment, and providing coaching to employees on proper safety protocols. Oversee facility inspections before, during, and after events to guarantee adherence to cleanliness and safety standards, addressing any issues promptly to maintain a safe working environment
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to interpret and apply detailed written or oral instructions, even in situations involving multiple variables. Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, adapting to dynamic scenarios while solving problems effectively. Capable of identifying materials or equipment based on assigned identification numbers, ensuring an accurate understanding of volumes and quantities.
Physical Demands:
The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees must work in varying temperatures and have the ability to focus on detailed instructions and specifications, with strong vision and physical agility.
Work Environment:
Exposure to moderate noise levels, varying temperatures, and potentially infectious materials. Safety compliance is essential.
