  • Familiarizes with and adheres to the policies set forth by the governing educational body.
  • Designs and implements intervention programs as necessary.
  • Takes necessary precautions to safeguard students, materials, and facilities.
  • Keeps accurate records as mandated by law and district policies.
  • Assists in the enforcement of all policies regarding student conduct.
  • Serves as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism and effective communication.
  • Maintains high expectations for student performance and behavior.
  • Participates in staff meetings and IEP meetings as required.
  • Meets professional behavior standards consistently.
  • Administers assessments as directed by administration.
  • Communicates effectively with parents and guardians as needed.
  • Provides individualized and small group instruction as outlined in daily plans.
  • Maintains a professional rapport with parents, colleagues, and administration.
  • Supervises students, paraprofessionals, and volunteers in the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
  • Valid teaching license/certification as required by state regulations.
  • Preferred one year of teaching experience.
  • Ability to accept responsibility for the safety and well-being of students.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with parents, administration, and students.
  • Competency in basic mathematical concepts.
  • Adherence to professional standards of practice.
  • Participation in required competency programs.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • Completion of health assessments as required.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer usage is essential.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
