Yellowstone Forever is seeking a skilled Payroll Assistant to join our team. As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a critical role in processing employees' paychecks, verifying work hours and payment, and ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees
- Administer the payroll system, working with the vendor and providing organizational reports
- Manage Workers Compensation requirements, including reporting, coding, and audits
- Provide guidance on payroll compliance, including deductions, withholding, and taxes
- Assist with benefits enrollment and administration
- Ensure employment files are maintained accurately and confidentially
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to quickly learn and apply new systems and processes
- Self-motivated with a sound approach to problem-solving and timely task completion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a non-profit environment
- Knowledge of Yellowstone National Park
Compensation:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a competitive hourly rate. Benefits include knowing that your efforts directly benefit Yellowstone National Park and the opportunity to work in one of the world's premiere wilderness areas.
