Position Overview:
The Anthony L. Jordan Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications while providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough data entry and managing insurance billing processes.
  • Performing prospective drug utilization reviews to identify potential drug interactions and incompatibilities.
  • Dispensing medications accurately and providing comprehensive counseling to patients regarding their prescribed therapies.
  • Administering state-approved immunizations and vaccines in accordance with established protocols.
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians, interns, and residents to ensure high standards of practice.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
  • Experience with 340B programs and working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is desirable.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Clinical pharmacy experience and a background in disease state management are advantageous.

Licenses and Certifications:
Applicants must hold:

  • A valid pharmacist license registered with the appropriate state board.
  • An Immunization Certificate from the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
  • A current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • An Infection Control Certificate.
