Job Summary
The Senior Supply Planning Manager will play a crucial role in driving the success of our global supply chain by overseeing key aspects of the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes. This includes, but is not limited to, ERP Planning Systems and Tools, Production Planning and Scheduling, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Sales and Operations Execution (SOE), and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee teams' execution of day-to-day tactical Supply Planning processes and activities.
- Lead supply teams in translating business needs into systematic execution supporting overall business strategy.
- Communicate performance expectations, provide timely feedback, training, and coaching for assigned staff.
- Collaborate with demand planning, core teams, and sales to set and manage planning strategies for new product introductions and end-of-life products.
- Work with sales and demand planning to set and achieve targeted stocking positions for finished goods at various distribution centers.
- Oversee the performance of tactical planning systems and business logic for system integrations.
- Manage current processes and systems for future business capabilities.
- Implement process improvement objectives with best practice solutions for system alignment and ongoing optimization.
- Effectively report and manage information related to cost and performance.
- Ensure compliance with policies, safety procedures, and fair employment practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience in Business, Supply Chain Management and/or related field.
- 5 to 10 years' experience in material planning, inventory planning, and production scheduling.
- Previous supervisory or manager experience required.
- Advanced knowledge of ORACLE Production and Materials Planning Module, along with other interfacing modules.
- Proficient in SCM and manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and shop floor control.
- Familiarity with key measurements and metrics related to production planning and control systems.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills for addressing diverse issues, navigating practical challenges, and handling various complexities.
- Effective cross-functional communication with a wide variety of internal stakeholders.
