Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $33.86 USD per hour.

Job Purpose:
Enhance the health of the communities served by assisting the Pharmacist in the management of prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately processes prescriptions by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging medications.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service to patients utilizing CHAS Health pharmacies.
  • Maintains appropriate medication and supply levels, places orders, and oversees inventory management.
  • Enters prescription data into the computer system, manages patient profiles, and ensures accuracy in records.
  • Verifies insurance details, processes claims, and liaises with insurance providers to confirm coverage.
  • Collaborates with pharmacists on various tasks, including medication preparation and workflow management.
  • Adheres to state and federal pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA compliance for patient privacy.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Reviews prescriptions for 340B eligibility and documents findings in the electronic health record.
  • Requests medication refills from the appropriate healthcare provider on behalf of patients.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned, supporting the mission and core values of CHAS Health.

Qualifications:
- Required: Pharmacy Technician Board certification (PTCB or NHA).
- Washington-based technicians must possess an active Pharmacy Technician Certification license with the WA Department of Health upon hire.
- Idaho-based technicians must hold an active Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration license with the ID State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
- Float positions necessitate both ID and WA licensure within 120 days of hire.
- Experience with third-party billing and electronic health records is essential.
- Strong customer service and communication skills are required, along with compassion for patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting is necessary.
- Proficiency in computer skills is required.
- Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and equitable workplace is essential.
- BLS (CPR/AED) certification is required.
- A valid driver's license and insurance are mandatory for float positions.

Physical Requirements:
Technicians should be capable of moving throughout the facility for a significant portion of the day, with limited time spent at a workstation. Frequent use of hands and arms is required, alongside effective communication. Lifting or moving items up to 10 lbs. occurs regularly, while lifting items between 25-50 lbs. may happen occasionally.
