Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Specialist is tasked with the development and maintenance of quality control systems to guarantee that all components and products adhere to the stringent standards mandated by clients, industry regulations, and internal quality guidelines. You will collaborate closely with production teams, engineers, and management to identify and rectify quality concerns, implement process enhancements, and promote ongoing quality improvement efforts.

This is a full-time, in-person role.

Compensation: $30 - $33/hour DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold quality control procedures and work instructions for all manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures for quality issues.
  • Oversee non-conforming material processes, including disposition and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate and approve new designs and processes for manufacturability and quality.
  • Coordinate and engage in customer and regulatory quality audits.
  • Deliver quality training to production personnel and implement quality awareness initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and process efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
  • Associate's degree in Machining Technology or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Expertise in quality management systems such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 standards and experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing sectors.
  • Understanding of quality management principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry regulations, quality standards, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining processes and quality control methodologies.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in utilizing quality management software and tools.
  • Capacity to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and eagerness to acquire new skills.
  • Ability to guide and influence others to achieve quality objectives.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled office or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to maintain focus and concentration in a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines specific to the manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to wear any required personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
