Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Wabash. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all manufacturing activities to meet schedule requirements in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and develop direct reports to achieve departmental and plant goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute production plans to achieve departmental and plant goals for all SQDCME metrics
  • Supervise the process and employees engaged in the manufacturing of products within assigned department and shift to meet schedule attainment goals
  • Complete daily production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplish work results and establish priorities
  • Achieve manufacturing results by appropriately managing labor based on work requirements and communicating clear job expectations
  • Develop, direct, and manage production employees and train them to properly utilize all equipment and tools
  • Coach and counsel employees while coordinating and enforcing process controls, company policies, programs, and procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe work environment throughout the facility
  • Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Consistently update and maintain Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) and complete required audits
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Business Management, Engineering, or Technology
  • 2-3+ years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to identify OSHA compliance issues and control of hazards
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop direct reports
  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement concepts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kronos, ADP, SAP, and other business software/systems preferred
