Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing mental health services to Veterans with Serious Mental Illness in an intensive outpatient setting. The incumbent will supervise all staff in the PRRC Program and ensure that the program meets all applicable practice requirements and standards. The position requires a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).

Key Responsibilities

Program Administrative/Supervisory Responsibilities (70%):
  • Administrative oversight and coordination of the PRRC Program.
  • Ensuring that the PRRC program meets all applicable practice requirements and standards.
  • Supervising all staff in the PRRC Program.
Clinical Responsibilities (20%):
  • Providing psychological services at all levels of complexity.
  • Consulting with peers and supervisors as appropriate.
  • Planning and conducting individual, marital, and/or group psychotherapy with the most difficult cases.
General Administrative/Supervisory Responsibilities (5%):
  • Consulting with and serving as a resource for other professional staff concerning the need for the development of mental health services.
  • Coordinating ongoing Process Improvement Projects to support the provision of timely quality care.
Other Significant Responsibilities (5%):
  • Representing the medical center and VISN 6 at professional and community events and committees.


Requirements

Conditions of Employment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation.
Qualifications

Applicants must have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
