Job Overview

Laboratory Support Specialist

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Employment Type: Temporary with potential for permanent placement.

Role Responsibilities

The work environment is characterized by a laboratory-workshop setting. The specialist will collaborate closely with the Research and Development team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and analyzing samples
  • Assisting in experimental procedures
  • Operating laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Managing inventory and documenting findings

All necessary training for the proper use of laboratory equipment will be provided on-site. This position is part-time, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated responsibility and a strong work ethic
  • Meticulous attention to detail and patience in handling small samples
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
  • Eager to learn quickly and perform efficiently
  • Comfortable in a multicultural work environment
  • Proficient in using hand tools and small power tools
  • Ability to handle chemicals safely
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cleanroom settings
  • Familiarity with quality control processes
  • Knowledge of dispersion techniques
  • Hands-on skills in crafts such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, or jewelry making
