Position Overview:

The Technical Systems Specialist will be responsible for supporting a diverse range of client infrastructure and technical support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and rectify hardware, software, and networking challenges through systematic testing and analysis, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Implement new hardware systems, operating systems, and software enhancements.
  • Deliver technical and operational training as required.
  • Maintain documentation of hardware configurations, software administration, network performance, and layouts regularly.
  • Travel to client locations or server sites for on-site responsibilities when necessary.
  • Be adaptable to working during nights and/or weekends as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory Domain Services.
  • Proficiency in Group Policy Management.
  • Experience with Server Backup and Disaster Recovery (both virtual and physical).
  • Familiarity with ESXi and Hyper-V.
  • Solid background in Windows Server environments.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Server Support Analyst or Server Engineer.
  • Experience in configuring print and file servers, including file permissions and security settings (Windows Server).
  • Strong knowledge of server infrastructure and hardware.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to conceptualize problems and devise effective solutions.
  • Competence in implementing, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.
  • Capability to create precise network diagrams and documentation for designing and planning network communication systems.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and products using available resources.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with all levels of staff within and outside of the IT department.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud computing is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of network security practices is a plus.
