PennState Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to lead their Cardiovascular Unit.

About the Job

The RN Clinical Staff Leader (CSL) is responsible for ensuring safe and effective patient care, while fostering a culture of excellence within the nursing team. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Update Smart Square scheduling system as needed.
  • Participate in unit and/or hospital-based committees to contribute to organizational initiatives.
  • Report compliance issues and operational needs to Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager.
  • Follow up on audits and provide support to individuals requiring improvement.
  • Conduct crucial conversations and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as necessary.
  • Share audit trends and best practices during huddles and shared governance meetings.
  • Assist Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager/Educator with competencies or interview processes as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Two (2) years related experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
