Job Overview

PennState Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a challenging position in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement effective nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Administer nursing care to critically ill, injured, or disabled patients, providing emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Currenly licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • BLS required prior to orientation completion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
