Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and staff with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and maintaining patient records.
  • Assist with blood draws, EKGs, and other medical procedures as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Healthcare Association (CCMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA).
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network required at hire.
