Mechanical Designer

Mastech Digital is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team. As a key member of our Technologies domain, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of cable assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Create and maintain design documentation, including specifications and assembly instructions.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
- Assist in developing testing protocols for cable assembly performance and reliability.
- Select materials and components based on electrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with client standards and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- A.S./B.S. in Electrical, Robotics Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in relevant fields.
- Extensive experience with schematic capture in SolidWorks.
- Lead experience in developing electrical documentation for complex control systems.
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA79, UL508A, and CE standards.
