Job Summary:

As a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer at PSEG, you will provide technical expertise in the identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety, and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and operations, as well as excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, trend, and assess systems and components to improve reliability.
  • Establish system performance for designated systems and identify and prioritize corrective actions to ensure system, safety, reliability, and availability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to manage and resolve long-term system performance issues.
  • Ensure system readiness and compliance with design and license basis.

Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years related industry experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering concepts and operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Greater than 10 years of experience in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering.
  • SRO license/certification or System Engineering.
  • MS or PE.
