Job SummaryWe are seeking a part-time Employment Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live their best lives through meaningful employment. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the desires, capabilities, and goals of new program participants and work one-on-one with each client to help them become job-ready.
Key Responsibilities- Complete assessments of program participants to understand their desires, capabilities, and goals.
- Work one-on-one with clients to help them become job-ready.
- Develop community worksites and prepare meetings and training.
- Advocate on behalf of program participants to find them employment opportunities that match their abilities.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of various software packages, including Windows Applications 2007 and above.
- Valid driver's license and reliable non-public transportation.
- Passion for serving individuals with disabilities and providing employment options.
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree with 3+ years of experience in human services.
- One year or more of experience in sales and working with individuals with disabilities.
