The Role

As a Part-Time Employment Specialist in Richland Center, you will play a vital role in supporting people with disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible through meaningful employment. Your primary goal is to help participants find work that matches their abilities, interests, and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with employers to place program participants in positions that best match their abilities through assessments and meetings.
  • Build partnerships with businesses in the community to find employment opportunities for participants.
  • Develop community worksites and prepare meetings and training with attention to detail.
  • Advocate on behalf of participants, working closely with them, families, case managers, and service providers.
  • Occasionally provide transportation for participants to work, while also encouraging them to learn about other forms of transportation and pedestrian safety skills.
Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of various software packages, including Windows Applications and Google Drive.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable non-public transportation.
  • Passion for serving individuals with disabilities and providing employment options for them.
  • Strong relationship-building, time-management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or an associate degree with 3+ years of experience in human services.
  • One year or more of experience in sales and working with individuals with disabilities.
