Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our rehabilitation services team, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day operations, representing the department in interdepartmental projects, and participating in direct and consultative patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a team of rehabilitation therapists, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
- Represent the department in hospital-wide program design and other committees, ensuring that service commitments align with resource capability, state-of-the-art clinical practices, and fiscal efficiency.
- Participate in direct and consultative patient care, including developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and providing education to patients and families.
- Coordinate quality assurance and quality improvement activities, including monitoring and evaluating quality improvement and productivity activities to meet regulatory and legal standards.
- Perform routine and specialized procedures relating to therapy techniques, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology.
- Communicate regularly with members of the patient care team, patients, family members, and others involved in patient care, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination.
- Develop and maintain formal training and orientation programs for staff to maintain discipline-specific competencies and promote continuing education.
- Assist in interpreting applicable policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Graduate from an accredited program for physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology.
- Current licensure as a Speech Pathologist, Physical Therapist, or Occupational Therapist in the State of Georgia.
- Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a management/supervisory role, preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
