Job Summary:

Emory Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Therapy Department Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our rehabilitation therapy department, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Manage Rehabilitation Therapy Staff: Supervise and manage a team of rehabilitation therapy staff, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.
  • Develop and Implement Departmental Goals and Objectives: Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, ensuring that our rehabilitation therapy department is aligned with the overall mission and vision of Emory Healthcare.
  • Coordinate Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement Activities: Coordinate quality assurance and quality improvement activities, ensuring that our rehabilitation therapy department is providing high-quality patient care and services.
  • Represent the Department in Interdepartmental Projects: Represent the department in interdepartmental projects, collaborating with other departments to ensure that our rehabilitation therapy department is working effectively with other teams.
  • Participate in Direct and Consultative Patient Care: Participate in direct and consultative patient care, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.
  • Coordinate and Manage Departmental Budgets: Coordinate and manage departmental budgets, ensuring that our rehabilitation therapy department is operating within budget and that we are providing high-quality patient care and services.
  • Develop and Implement Training Programs: Develop and implement training programs for rehabilitation therapy staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge they need to provide high-quality patient care and services.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Departmental Performance: Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these areas.

Requirements:

  • Graduate Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology: A graduate degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology is required.
  • Current Licensure as a Speech Pathologist, Physical Therapist, or Occupational Therapist: Current licensure as a speech pathologist, physical therapist, or occupational therapist in the State of Georgia is required.
  • Five Years of Clinical Experience: Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a management/supervisory role, is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
