About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director of Operations to lead our client's manufacturing operations in the automotive industry. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, including strategic planning, team management, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to achieve short-term and long-term objectives, working closely with sales and business development to conduct market analysis and identify new opportunities for business expansion.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of tooling manufacturing processes and technologies, staying up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices, and collaborating with the engineering team to ensure product quality and innovation.
  • Operations Management: Responsible for identifying and transferring existing equipment from other locations, identifying and managing existing equipment upgrades, and overseeing all daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and efficient resource utilization.
  • Financial Performance: Develop budgets and financial forecasts in alignment with organizational goals, implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability without compromising quality, and review financial reports and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a skilled team of professionals in various departments, foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and creativity, and conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain strong relationships with key customers and clients, address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively, and identify customer needs and ensure the company delivers high-quality products and services.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, promote a culture of safety, and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (at least 5-7 years) in a senior management role within the tooling industry.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of tooling manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective business strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a focus on employee development.
  • Solid financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems effectively.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient Office suite skills.
