Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising logistics operations, including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch, and proper documentation and procedure control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise logistics operations, including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch, and proper documentation and procedure control.
  • Responsible for the daily/weekly maintenance of pallet tracking, audit of driver logs and trip reports, log and driver file DOT requirements tracking.
  • Liaison for internal customer support.
  • Track all return goods as directed by the customer for close out of returns from the private fleet.
  • Audit of logs and trip reports and other DOT HOS reporting, maintain of files, customer service interaction, resolution of driver equipment requests and pallet tracking.
  • Maintenance and distribution of route books, daily interface with drivers, assist with driver coverage of vacation and overflow freight.

Requirements:

  • Properly plan work assignments to ensure effective use of fleet equipment.
  • Work with hourly associates to ensure they understand safe and efficient operation of equipment.
  • Work with vendors to ensure equipment is maintained.
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of the site's operating systems in order to ensure operational compliance and correct exception resolution.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
  • AS400 experience preferred.
  • Must have basic knowledge of DOT HOS.
