The Pierce County Noxious Weed Control Board is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Community Educator. This full-time role involves developing and presenting educational materials to various stakeholders on noxious weed control and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present educational programs on noxious weed control and safety
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify educational needs and develop targeted programs
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on best practices in noxious weed control and education
  • Develop and maintain educational materials, including brochures, posters, and presentations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Botany, Environmental Science, Agronomy, or related field
  • Valid WA State driver's license
  • WA State Pesticide Operator's License

Work Schedule:

32-hour workweek, Tuesday-Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm, with a 6-month probation period.

Salary Range: $30.80 to $38.38 per hour.
