Legal Externship Opportunity

SIFMA's Office of General Counsel is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our team as a legal extern. This externship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial services industry and public policy arena.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics related to broker-dealers and banks
  • Assist in the development of public policy positions and supporting materials
  • Participate in meetings with members and regulators to stay informed on industry developments
  • Collaborate with the Office of General Counsel team to support the department's goals and objectives
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a JD and/or LLM degree
  • Strong interest in the financial industry and related laws/regulations
  • Excellent clerical, organizational, time management, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates professional demeanor and a commitment to excellence
