Position Overview:

As a Member Services Representative I at Apple Federal Credit Union, you will serve as the face of our organization, delivering outstanding service to our members.

Your duties will include processing transactions, addressing account inquiries, and promoting our financial products. You will play a crucial role in fostering positive member relationships and ensuring adherence to credit union policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Member Engagement:

Act as a representative of the credit union, interacting with members courteously and professionally, whether in person, by mail, or over the phone.

Efficiently process transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account transfers while ensuring compliance with daily cash handling procedures.

Loan and Account Services:

Receive loan payments and deposits, verifying amounts and ensuring proper endorsement of checks.

Accurately input transaction details into our computer system and respond to member inquiries regarding account transactions.

Information and Outreach:

Provide essential account information regarding loans and share products to members as needed.

Under the direction of branch management, reach out to members concerning deposit accounts, loan applications, and other relevant offerings.

Service Excellence:

Adhere to the "Pillars of Member Service" by consistently delivering friendly and professional interactions with both internal and external members.

Stay updated on all Apple FCU products, services, policies, and procedures, completing internal training requirements in a timely manner.

Sales and Compliance:

Identify opportunities for cross-selling based on recommendations and refer members accordingly.

Process member requests for share withdrawals while adhering to security policies and reporting procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a financial institution or cash handling role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to exceptional member service.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and promote credit union products.
  • Proficiency in basic math and attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate PC-based systems.
  • Comfortable working in a financial institution environment.
  • *Bilingual preferred*
