Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Loader Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate a rubber-tired, skid steer, or crawler type tractor with an attached scoop type bucket on the front end. The machine will be used to load materials from stockpiles, excavation, charging batch plants, loading, and unloading trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load materials.
- Signal truck drivers to position trucks for loading.
- Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
The employee in this role must be knowledgeable about and follow the company's safety policies and procedures as described in the company's safety manual.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Three or more years related construction experience preferred.
The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/or precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
