Lead Mechanical Systems Commissioning Engineer

As a System/Commissioning Engineer for the power uprate of Salem Units 1 and 2, you will provide technical support in the Engineering Services department. The successful candidate will perform duties such as sponsoring and implementing power uprate modifications, assessing the required scope of work, and exploring alternative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement power uprate modifications, ensuring adequate systems integration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure Engineering deliverables meet project goals.
- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification.
- Identify Critical Spare parts and support changes to the Preventive maintenance and Surveillance Program.
- Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Controls, or related Engineering or related technical degree with 5 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in mechanical system engineering.
- Availability for shift work during installation.
- Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR).
- Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification.
- Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state).
