We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer for Mechanical Systems to join our team at Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Salem Power Uprate Project, providing technical support in the Engineering Services department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the required scope of work and explore alternative solutions for modifications.
- Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.
- Lead the system engineering effort for modifications.
- Ensure adequate systems integration and serve as a subject matter expert for plant systems.
- Support changes to the Preventive Maintenance and Surveillance Program.
- Identify critical spare parts.
- Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes.
- Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing.
- Interface with the Project Manager to ensure engineering deliverables meet project goals.
- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification.
- Comply with regulatory requirements, including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation, and supporting analysis.
- Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Engineering Manager.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Controls, or related Engineering or related technical degree with 5 years of experience performing related engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in mechanical system engineering.
- Availability for shift work during installation.
- Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR).
- Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification.
- Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state).
Certain positions at the Company may require access to Part 810-Controlled Information. Under the law, the Company is limited in who it can share this information with, and in certain circumstances, it is necessary to obtain specific authorization before the Company can share this information.
If the position does require access to this information, you must complete a 10 CFR Part 810 Export Control Compliance Nationality Request Form, a copy of which will be provided to you by Talent Acquisition if an offer is made.
If there is a need for specific authorization, due to the time it takes to obtain authorization from the government, we will likely not be able to further proceed with an offer.
