Job Description

Job Summary

Helm Bank USA is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst II to join our team. As a Credit Analyst II, you will play a critical role in analyzing credit data and financial information to determine the risk associated with lending and credit-worthiness.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze financial information to assess the creditworthiness of individuals and companies.
  2. Review loan applications, including obtaining and analyzing financial data, to determine the risk profile of customers.
  3. Prepare credit analysis reports, including financial statement analysis, to support loan approval decisions.
  4. Collaborate with relationship managers, brokers, and customers to develop credit requests for presentation to the loan committee.

Operational Responsibilities

  1. Prepare regular reports for the Board of Directors, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  2. Manage broker packages and third-party service provider packages.
  3. Maintain updated credit files with tracking systems for financial statements, appraisals, loan reviews, and renewals.
  4. Assist management in special projects and requests as needed.

Regulatory Responsibilities

  1. Prepare KYC/CDD Profile Forms and obtain required documentation in accordance with the BSA Program.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance, with one to two years of previous experience. You should be bilingual in English and Spanish, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office and mathematical skills. You should also possess excellent customer/client focus, credibility, problem-solving/analysis, teamwork orientation, initiative, stress management, organizational skills, technical capacity, effective communication, and adaptability.

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include sitting, talking, hearing, standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Travel

This position may require travel.
