Trade Control and Risk Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Control and Risk Manager to join our team at INEOS Group Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the trading control environment is robust, policies are adhered to, and resources/skill sets are appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and/or support systems for the control function with respect to exposure management and MI systems.
  • Manage trade control systems where we use Allegro/Horizon/FEA.
  • Ensure paper trading activity is settled promptly and make sure profits are allocated to correct profit centres.
  • Supervise daily/weekly/monthly trading exposure and daily profit & loss reporting.
  • Work with Finance to ensure reconciliation of management information to financial accounts is completed and issues are addressed.
  • Set up new exposure management or entrepreneurial trading books as required by the business.
  • Support new business activities and ensure trade control and risk aspects are covered in the assurance process.
  • Provide risk analysis in assessing new trading strategies, trading limits, neutral stocks and other business assessment of risk.
Requirements:
  • Financial or STEM qualification.
  • Proven track record in a trading control/risk management role.
  • Previous team leader experience is preferable.
  • Understanding of the oil/gas commodities trading industry, markets, products, and exchanges.
  • Previous exposure to trading risk management, control and assurance.
  • Understanding of accounts and accounting procedures (accrual and mark to market).
