Overview: This pivotal position is essential for the organization’s capability to produce and deliver products to clients punctually and within budget. The individual in this role will facilitate communication among Quality Assurance, Procurement, Production, Engineering, and Administrative sectors, as well as with clients. Responsibilities include overseeing the comprehensive processes of material requirements planning and managing the MRP system. As a Manager, it is expected that you will identify, communicate, and resolve process inefficiencies, training deficiencies, and production obstacles.
Position Title: Production Planning Manager

Reports To: VP of Operations
Work Schedule: Days
Compensation: $90-95k annually

Key Responsibilities for the Production Planning Manager include:
- Design, implement, and oversee the Production Schedule within the MRP system to effectively fulfill customer contract manufacturing requirements.
- Establish, manage, and monitor inventory levels.
- Formulate a strategic plan for materials management.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of 1-5 direct reports.
- Analyze data to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancement.
- Facilitate collaboration among Planning, Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Administrative teams.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders regarding potential production delays, material delivery issues, and inventory shortages.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.
We are seeking Production Planning leaders with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) or professional certification in Materials Management or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a material manufacturing setting and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPIM certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with at least 2-3 years of direct employee management experience.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 / ISO13485 Quality Management Systems and FDA manufacturing standards.
- High proficiency in MRP Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Project Management Software.
