Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Civil Infrastructure Design Director to lead our civil engineering efforts in designing data center critical infrastructure systems. If you have a passion for innovative design, a strong background in civil engineering, and excellent leadership skills, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of civil engineers in the design of data center critical infrastructure systems
  • Facilitating weekly meetings with staff, resource planning, evaluating external consultants, addressing design issues, and ensuring the quality of civil engineering designs
  • Driving process improvements within the team
  • Developing and implementing design standards, evaluating cost, risk, and benefits of designs, and facilitating design discussions with other design disciplines and security organizations
  • Managing external civil design consultants through the data center design and construction process
  • Creating, reviewing, and releasing design RFPs for various projects, including DCs and special program facilities
  • Leading initiatives aimed at improving cost, quality, schedule, and consistency, and effectively communicating with leadership and finance partners
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Professional Engineering License
  • 10+ years of professional experience in commercial, warehouse, and/or industrial site-civil design
  • ABET accredited BS in Civil Engineering
  • 4+ years' experience in civil design for Data Centers or Telecom facilities with working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards, including IBC and ASCE
