Data Scientist for Search Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to help build next-generation media search for Apple's groundbreaking devices and platforms, leveraging Machine Learning and Large Language Model (LLM).

The ideal candidate will have excellent applied machine learning experience and solid engineering skills in creating outstanding search services. This role will include:

  1. Analyzing search retrieval and relevance requirements, issues, and opportunities.
  2. Understanding product requirements, translating them into modeling tasks and engineering tasks.
  3. Developing techniques and building machine learned models for search retrieval and ranking problems.
  4. Integrating search functions into Apple products, such as TV, Siri, and Spotlight.
  5. Building end-to-end production systems including retrieval and ranking to power search.
  6. Conducting A/B tests to ensure we objectively measure improvements.

This role requires 5+ years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, or data mining. You should also have mastery of two of the following languages: Python, Go, Java, C++.

Additional qualifications include excellent knowledge and good practical skills in major ML and NLP algorithms, excellent data analytical skills, and experience with large scale search and machine learning systems.

The estimated salary for this role is between $207,800 and $312,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
