Chapa-De Indian Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Patient Services Representative to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Job Summary:

The Medical Patient Services Representative will be responsible for checking patients in and out, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, verifying patient demographics and insurance eligibility, and answering questions about services. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule patients accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor no-shows and cancellations to identify available slots for same-day appointments
  • Collect co-pays and previous balances due
  • Copy and scan patient identification and insurance cards
  • Direct patients to eligibility personnel as needed
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Average proficiency using a computer to accomplish work

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of one year of medical office experience, knowledge of Medi-Cal and insurance resources, and Spanish speaking skills.
