Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Transfer Associate - Deceased Care Coordinator. This role will involve coordinating the transfer of deceased individuals from various locations to funeral homes, cemeteries, or other designated facilities. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all transfers are completed efficiently and with the utmost respect for the deceased and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer Coordination
    • Coordinate the transfer of deceased individuals from hospitals, nursing homes, and other locations to funeral homes, cemeteries, or other designated facilities.
    • Ensure that all transfers are completed in accordance with local and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with first responders, coroner, hospital staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transfer process.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Ensure that company-owned vehicles are clean and well-maintained, both inside and out.
    • Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, such as washing, vacuuming, and fueling.
    • Identify and report any vehicle issues or concerns to management.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Accurately document all transfers, including deceased information, transfer details, and any issues encountered.
    • Provide regular updates to management and other stakeholders on transfer status and any concerns.

Requirements

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licenses and Certifications
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience
    • At least one year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a transfer or transportation-related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Basic computer skills and proficiency in software applications.

Work Environment

This role will require regular travel to various locations, including hospitals, nursing homes, and funeral homes. You will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and may be exposed to challenging situations.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.85-$20.50, depending on location and experience. Part-time associates working an average of 20 hours per week may be eligible for 401(k) benefits.

Location

This role will be based in Auburn, CA, with regular travel to surrounding areas.
