Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pest Control Technician to join our team at Rentokil Terminix. As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pest management services to our commercial and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality pest management services to customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and operational goals, driving business growth and revenue.
  • Comply with all safety and driving standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Complete Level 1, 2, and 3 training requirements within specified timeframes, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Achieve special certifications and licensing, when applicable, to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
  • Meet individual operation sales goals, customer service delivery goals, productivity goals, and operational excellence goals, contributing to the success of the team and the company.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED (Associate's or four-year college degree a plus)
  • Read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license with no tickets or major offenses per company driving policy
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Prior pest management or other route management experience servicing, selling, and/or supplying commercial/industrial clients a plus
  • Knowledge of pests, rodents, and other vermin biology and habits, a plus
  • Knowledge of pest control products, services, and treatments, a plus
  • Knowledge of pest control regulations and safety procedures, a plus
  • Skill in communication technologies, such as handheld devices, email, and web
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and analyze pest pressures
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work
  • Must satisfy all qualifications and requirements of this position, including the ability to physically perform all job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation
Working Conditions

  • Move up to 10 pounds regularly, and 11-20 pounds frequently, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects
  • Use legs and/or hands and arms to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc.
  • Maintain balance when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
  • Bend legs and spine downward and forward to crouch or squat, and bend legs at the knee to come to rest on a surface with one or both knees
  • Push objects forward, downward, or outward with sustained force using the upper extremities
  • Drag, draw, haul, or tug objects with sustained motion using the upper extremities
  • Extend hands and arms in any direction to reach objects, and move objects from a lower to a higher position, or move objects horizontally from one position to another
  • Use touch of skin to perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume
  • Operate a motor vehicle and use electrically and manually powered hand tools for securing objects to surfaces
