As a Radar Algorithms Engineer within our image formation division, you will have the exceptional chance to innovate algorithms and processing methodologies for a pioneering orbital MIMO radar imaging system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement tomographic synthetic aperture radar algorithms to generate high-fidelity 3D data products.
  • Collaborate closely with the software product team to efficiently integrate and deploy algorithms within our cloud-based imagery production framework.
  • Develop predictive tools to assess the performance of 3D reconstruction algorithms based on various image collection geometries.
  • Engage with the product team to gather insights on customer use cases and translate these into comprehensive system-level requirements.
  • Create testing protocols and methodologies to ensure product quality aligns with user expectations.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in synthetic aperture radar digital signal processing and algorithm development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new concepts independently and thoroughly.
  • High self-motivation and accountability.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, and/or Python.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on radar image formation or digital signal processing.
  • Over 2 years of experience in deploying radar algorithms within production environments.
  • Experience in signal processing for tomographic and/or interferometric synthetic aperture radar.
  • Familiarity with multi-static or multi-channel radar systems.
  • Knowledge of standards-based radar data formats such as CPHD and SICD.
  • Experience in adapting radar algorithms for parallel processing frameworks.
  • Understanding of stochastic and adaptive signal processing techniques.
  • Ability to extract insights from SAR data products using AI/ML methodologies.
  • Knowledge of radar phenomenology in complex scattering environments at fine spatial resolutions.
