Job OverviewNote: Only considering non-local / traveler candidates.

Position: Patient Care Technician
  • Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
  • Compensation: $30 - $32/hr

Position Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care for assigned individuals under the supervision of a licensed nursing professional.
  • Ensure precise documentation of all patient treatment-related information.
  • Assist the licensed nurse with pre and post dialysis patient evaluations and their corresponding documentation. Monitor and record dialysis treatment metrics on Dialysis Flow Sheets.
  • Communicate any significant changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Support all emergency operational protocols.
  • Initiate basic CPR procedures in case of cardiac or pulmonary emergencies and respond to urgent situations related to dialysis care.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in patient care within a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Completion of a training program in the principles and practices of hemodialysis is required.
  • Current CPR Certification is necessary.

Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Background in physical sciences or training in laboratory techniques is preferred.
