Job Overview:

The Janitor role offers flexible scheduling options, including part-time evening shifts or full-time daytime shifts. The work schedule may vary based on operational needs and could include weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize designated cleaning agents and equipment while adhering to safety protocols and wearing necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
  2. Collect and dispose of waste from assigned locations, ensuring trash receptacles are emptied and liners replaced as required.
  3. Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms and locker facilities, including stalls, toilets, sinks, and floors.
  4. Restock supplies in restrooms as needed.
  5. Maintain cleanliness in employee workspaces, break rooms, lobbies, hallways, conference areas, and cafeterias, ensuring all surfaces are cleaned to a high standard.
  6. Perform detailed floor maintenance tasks, which may include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and buffing. Carpet cleaning will be scheduled periodically.
  7. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs for reordering.
  8. Exhibit consistent and reliable attendance at the workplace.
  9. Complete assigned cleaning tasks as scheduled.
  10. Uphold PrimeFlight's standards for customer service and safety.
  11. Execute additional duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, customer service orientation, interpersonal skills, and effective oral communication.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of one year of janitorial experience, subject to verification.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess reliable transportation.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Hold a valid Social Security number and legal work status.

Education and Experience:

No specific educational requirements are necessary for this role.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective communication skills in English are essential.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in various formats, including written and oral directions.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Walking and climbing stairs regularly.
  • Stretching and bending as necessary.
  • Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Working in confined spaces.
  • Reaching overhead with full arm extension.
  • Utilizing hands for handling and manipulation of cleaning tools.
  • Responding to verbal communication and alarms.
  • Meeting specific vision requirements for close and distance vision, color recognition, and depth perception.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level but may vary. Employees may be required to wear company-provided personal protective equipment to ensure safety. Some tasks may involve exposure to outdoor conditions, including temperature variations and inclement weather.
