We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory and Reinsurance Senior Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal team, you will serve as the primary regulatory subject matter expert and provide counsel on complex insurance growth transactions and reinsurance agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert analysis of applicable law and regulation
  • Act as primary contact and relationship manager for multiple state insurance departments
  • Develop strategies for responding to regulatory developments
  • Participate in complex insurance growth transactions and reinsurance agreements
  • Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements
  • Collaborate closely with other functions across the company
Requirements
  • Law degree from accredited U.S. law school
  • Current bar license in good standing and compliant with state requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of related experience
  • MUST have Life Insurance/Reinsurance Experience
  • Familiarity with the Model Holding Company Act
  • Strong analytical skills and high degree of judgment
  • Demonstrated leadership presence and skills
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communications skills
