Job Summary

Operate JetVac equipment and other heavy machinery to clean and clear sewers, catch basins, and remove wastewater as part of a service contract with company customers. Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment in accordance with safety and operating guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform duties in conjunction with a work crew to clean and clear sewers, catch basins, and remove wastewater.
  • Drive and operate company trucks and equipment.
  • Service various customer needs using company equipment.
  • Operate JetVac & related equipment.
  • Complete paperwork related to the work and company/customer requirements.
  • Interact with customers to ensure the work is completed to their satisfaction.
  • Communicate with office regarding obstacles, needs, and customer interactions.
  • Document any changes to the scope of work or project changes.
  • Accept additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, repair, or facilitate repair as necessary.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A or B.
  • Tanker and Air Brake Endorsement.
  • Clean Driving Record.
  • DOT Medical Card.
  • Ability to read a map.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.
  • Ability to pull hose up to 500 feet.
  • Ability to understand DOT requirements and regulations.
  • Availability for a significant amount of overtime during peak periods.
  • Honesty/Integrity required.
  • Attendance and punctuality required.
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbal.
  • Requires work performed in outdoor environments/exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
  • Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, heights, and confined spaces.
  • Exposure to noxious odors/fumes and moderate to high noise levels.
  • Exposure to bodily fluids/human waste, etc.
  • Possibility of working out of town for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate lifting - no greater than 40 lbs.; moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping. No fine manipulation or fine manual dexterity required. Ability to stand for a full shift in addition to walking, climbing stairs, and bending as required.
