OVERVIEW

EMCOR Government Services (EGS) is a prominent entity within EMCOR Group, Inc., recognized as a leader in mechanical and electrical construction, as well as energy infrastructure and facilities services. EGS encompasses a network of operating companies across the nation, employing over 22,000 professionals and generating substantial annual revenues. Our expertise spans various sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, and more, providing integrated solutions that encompass fire protection and advanced security technologies.

The Regional Security & Compliance Manager role is integral to ensuring that our operating companies adhere to corporate security and IT protocols. This position will primarily support EGS's operations in the Western United States and is designed for a candidate located remotely in this region.

COMPENSATION

Compensation Range: $130,000 - $160,000

Other Compensation: Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus in accordance with company policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing strategic support and guidance to ensure compliance with corporate security and IT policies.
  • Overseeing security and IT metrics for both headquarters and operating companies, both remotely and on-site.
  • Ensuring adherence to corporate standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborating with executives and IT teams on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Traveling up to 50% to various operating companies located in the Western US.
  • Offering technical support to subsidiary IT staff to facilitate initiatives and resolve issues.
  • Building strong relationships with IT personnel across diverse organizations to promote compliance.
  • Participating in security and compliance meetings with corporate and segment teams.
  • Leading discussions with operating companies to review security performance and requirements.
  • Coordinating and conducting meetings to address security questionnaire responses.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this position, candidates must possess the following:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of five years in security and compliance within a complex IT environment.
  • At least three years of experience with Windows Server and desktop platforms.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in small teams.
  • Experience in remediating security and compliance issues, including vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
  • Knowledge of multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) technologies.
  • Experience with security frameworks such as CMMC, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001.
  • Strong understanding of information security and privacy standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and related technologies.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., GIAC, CISSP, CISM) are advantageous.
  • Experience with configuration technologies like Autopilot and InTune.
  • Involvement in security projects and risk management discussions.
  • Collaboration with various departments to mitigate risks.
  • Understanding of IT support and application security.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance tools.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Preference for candidates located in the Western US.
  • Standard work hours are 40 hours per week, with flexibility as needed.
  • Participation in after-hours maintenance or meetings may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Travel requirements are approximately 50% of the time, focusing on the Western US.
