Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Technician to join our team at SEH America. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze critical and non-critical facilities equipment information to identify potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.
  • Respond to alarms and make determinations for adjustments or shutting down components on facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform preventative and responsive maintenance on facilities equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Maintain oversight of designated equipment and perform regular inspections to identify potential issues.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste and chemicals in accordance with regulations and permits to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in various projects such as new equipment installation, or equipment/facilities modifications to improve facilities operations.
  • Ensure personal liability for compliance with Federal/State and local jurisdiction permit compliance and adhere to Federal/State & Company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Mechanical/technical experience, skill, and aptitude to perform facilities operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to pass and maintain qualification as a member of the HazMat Response Team to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors, engineering, and contractors.
  • Ability to adhere to SOP/SOC's and work instructions to ensure consistent and high-quality work.
  • Experience in developing new processes and equipment/facilities documentation to improve facilities operations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and participate in team safety activities to ensure a safe working environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Work in various environments such as clean rooms and sludge treatment.
  • Wear and utilize various types of safety equipment including chemical protective suits, boots, gloves, goggles, hardhat, safety harness, safety shoes, safety glasses, respirators, and self-contained breathing apparatus.
  • Perform work around a variety of gases, chemicals, and waste (hazardous & toxic) while maintaining a high degree of safety and environmental consciousness.
  • Work in confined spaces, at high elevations, and around high noise levels.
  • May work alone for long periods of time while maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.
