Job Summary:
The Department Lead Person is responsible for providing work direction and training to production employees in assigned work areas to safely achieve the desired output of quality parts and/or finished products as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the proper coverage, goal achievement and completeness of jobs in and out of the department on a daily basis.
- Informs department Manager of people management issues and identifies the resources needed to consistently meet the production schedule.
- Eliminates non-productive efforts with equipment and personnel and assists in maintaining and improving methods and equipment.
- Assists in assuring proper observation of company policies and assists in building employee morale.
- Establishes and maintains good housekeeping.
- Coordinates and manages area in absence of Manager.
- Participates and contributes to a work team environment and follow quality control checks.
- Follows all Safety Rules and contributes to a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Material Handler Experience
- Inventory Control Experience
- Planning
- Interpersonal Communication
- Ability to Lead
- Basic computer skills
- Forklift Experience Preferred
