Job Title: Sustainability Coordinator

Compass Group Careers is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing sustainable practices and initiatives within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of food service operations, including waste reduction and energy conservation.
  • Evaluate and recommend sustainable sourcing practices for food and packaging materials.
  • Partner with the Intuit Dome's sustainability team to ensure alignment with waste management programs, including recycling, composting, and reduction of single-use items.
  • Implement strategies to minimize food waste within operations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate team members on sustainable practices and their role in achieving sustainability goals.
  • Actively monitor and guide part-time F&B staff to ensure adherence to the organization's zero waste policies during events.
  • Foster a culture of sustainability through ongoing communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Support and maximize contribution to the food donation program.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sustainability initiatives.
  • Regularly evaluate and adjust strategies based on performance metrics and industry advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in food and beverage hospitality.
  • Proven experience in the Sports and Entertainment arena industry.
  • Passion for sustainability programs and practices.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices.
  • Familiarity with LEED and TRUE certifications, preferred but not required.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Good task management and organizational skills with an ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Schedule flexibility; hours vary based on events.
